University of Iowa ASCE Student Chapter Mission Statement:

"To further and promote the general, personal, and professional growth of civil engineers at the University of Iowa while enriching the community by providing opportunities to develop a better understanding of each other while serving others, leading on campus, and achieving excellence."

-Article III of the Bylaws of the American Society of Civil Engineers at The University of Iowa

How to Join

If you are a civil or environmental engineering student looking to get more involved with your school and community, becoming a part of the ASCE student chapter is a great first step! We hold our chapter meetings every other Wednesday night at 6:30 in room 2217 in the Seamans Center. Find more details on the calendar page. We welcome any civil or environmental engineering student to simply show up and start getting involved. There are no prerequisites required to attend our meetings.

If you decide to commit to being a part of the ASCE student chapter for the long term, we recommend you to obtain your ASCE membership though the national ASCE website. A membership will establish you as an official member of ASCE, which will grant you many benefits for free as long as you remain a student.
